Culture of Care

Jimmy strongly believes in helping his fellow community members. He consistently donates blood at the local Red Cross donation center, and has donated blood 4-6 times each year for almost 8 years. Jimmy believes it is our duty to care for those who have paved the way for us. Senior citizens suffer from a high rate of cancer and other serious illnesses. A simple way to show our appreciation and gratitude is by donating whole blood or platelets. Donating blood is important for those who are undergoing chemotherapy, organ transplants and other treatments. With more accessibility to lifesaving blood, patients have a higher rate of survival and recovery.

Pay it Forward

Donating platelets is considerably more time consuming than donating whole blood; however, platelets are a crucial component of cancer and organ transplant treatments because they allow blood clotting. Jimmy's donation is a small contribution to ensure that someone else has another chance at life and an opportunity to pay it forward.
